Black Tourmaline • Protection • Grounding • Boundaries
Black tourmaline is schorl — striated, matte-to-glass black, a root stone with a job. Used as a ward. People pocket it in crowds, park it by the router, set it at the door after a day that left static in the chest. In crystal practice it is the sponge for what is not yours.
It is not obsidian (mirror and cut). It is not hematite (iron focus). It is a fence post. Ground first. Then the room feels less crowded.
Striated crystals snap on a long axis. No bag of points grinding together. Wipe dry. Natural tourmaline can look dull, shiny, or shot through with quartz. That mix is the mineral.
