Labradorite is feldspar that hides its color until the angle is right — labradorescence, a blue, gold, or green sheet of light under grey. Third eye. Used at thresholds: new work, a version of you that is not public yet, protection while you change. People call it a magic stone. What they mean is the real life is under the dull face.

Turn it until it lights. Wear it when you are between stories. It is not moonstone (tide and tenderness). It is not opalite (glass glow). It is a closed door with weather behind it.

Feldspar cleaves. No knocks, no salt soaks. Flash can be a sliver or the whole face. Grey without flash is still labradorite — you just have not hit the plane yet.
